RSRV Cuvée Lalou

VINTAGE 2013
75CL
The ultimate synthesis of singular terroirs, RSRV Cuvée Lalou Vintage is produced in very limited quantities during only the finest years. Its emphatic personality and aromatic complexity make it an exceptional choice for fine dining.
Since the cuvée was created in 1960, only 13 vintages have seen the light of day.

2013 is a vintage characterized by climatic extremes and a late cycle.
A very gentle winter was followed by a cool spring and hot summer – both sunny and stormy. The vines bloomed late, in July, delaying harvest until October.

Terroirs & Origins

RSRV Cuvée Lalou Vintage 2013 is a prestigious selection of the house most singular plots, a unique interpretation of Champagne’s emblematic varietals, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

The delicate nature of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, whose chalky soils deliver
minerality and suppleness, finds balance against the power, structure and body of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. This complementarity of varietals and terroirs results in exceptional finesse and cellaring potential.

Savoir-Faire

The ultimate synthesis of RSRV terroirs:
RSRV Cuvée Lalou 2013 blends 50% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and 50% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs.
Ten of Maison Mumm vineyard’s twelve distinctive plots were selected for the unique blend of vintage 2013.
From historic, perfectly exposed plots in Grands Crus villages such as Cramant, Verzenay, Aÿ, Verzy, Bouzy and Ambonnay.

Each parcel is pressed separately in the House presses, with individual vinification in vats to preserve their uniqueness.
A slender bottle neck promotes slow maturation and prolonged cellaring.
