La Maison RSRVRSRV Savoir-Faire

OUR savoir-faire

Bringing terroirs to their fullest form of expression.

Primordial in the vineyards and the cellars, the human hand allows the innate personality of a terroir to fully express itself. The result of a savoir-faire that has been handed down from one generation to the next, this ambition drives every single gesture behind the champagnes of the RSRV collection.
Savoir-Faire RSRV

During the harvest, clusters of grapes are pressed in small quantities within hours of being clipped from the vine, for the most part in one of the four presses situated in the House’s historic villages.
This serves three objectives: preserving the freshness of the fully ripened grapes, ensuring the quality of the pressed fruit and maintaining the individual identity of the wines before they undergo blending at a later stage.

In the cellars, cold fermentation is used to preserve primary aromas.

Certain RSRV cuvées undergo partial or total malolactic fermentation to add roundness and preserve freshness, according to the specific characteristics of each vintage, varietal and vineyard.

Aging on fine lees and moderate stirring instill the desired structure and texture, bringing complexity, richness and creaminess and conferring a distinctively tactile dimension to the RSRV cuvées.
Le savoir-faire RSRV
Produced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards, reserve wines are also aged on lees for fuller body.

A meticulous selection of barrels and dosages, between extra brut and brut, contribute to the final balance of the champagnes in the collection.

Dosage is crafted from grapes grown on Grand Cru vineyards and is carefully selected to highlight the distinctive character of each terroir.
The wines are tasted individually after harvest for a more precise reading of the terroirs during the final blending process.

Then time plays the ultimate role in allowing each champagne to reach perfect harmony.

The bottles repose for a minimum of three years, some even up to ten years, before disgorgement.
RSRV Blanc de Blancs

The RSRV bottle: Elegance at the service of excellence

The RSRV bottle has a distinctively narrow, slender neck that reduces contact between air and champagne to a very small area, ensuring impeccable preservation and slower aging, while fostering an authentic expression of terroir.

This approach perpetuates the pursuit of quality and style that starts with vinification, of lasting freshness, finely honed structure and exceptional elegance.
