A blend of our best Grand Cru parcels

THE 2008 VINTAGE
2008 was remarkable for its long, cold winter and for the heavy rains that fell throughout each season. The weather became milder in September offering very good sanitary conditions and allowing the grapes to be picked at their optimum maturity.

TO THE EYE
A golden colour with brilliant highlights.
ON THE NOSE
Luscious notes of fresh butter and butterscotch give way to aromas of ripe yellow fruit. The wine then opens up to complex nuances of toast, vanilla, honey and hazelnut.
ON THE PALATE
On the palate, the attack is full and deep, confirming the roundness and aromatic complexity identified on the nose. A fine finish reflects the potential of this great vintage.
Le terroir de RSRV
RSRV Blanc de Noirs-Origine

Terroirs & Origins

RSRV Cuvée Lalou is a harmonious mélange of the most singular plots and localities, a unique interpretation of the collection’s iconic Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs and the distinct characters of two of Champagne’s emblematic varietals, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
An impressive feat, the cuvée finds perfect balance between the personality of each site and each varietal without masking their innate characteristics. The delicate nature of Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, whose chalky soils deliver minerality and suppleness, finds balance against the power, structure and body of Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims.
This complementarity of varietals and terroirs results in exceptional finesse and cellaring potential.
Le savoir-faire RSRV

Savoir-Faire

RSRV Cuvée Lalou 2008 is a balanced blend of 50% Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and 50% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs.
The grapes from each plot are pressed separately in House presses and the wines are individually vinified in vats. A deliberately light dosage of 6 grams of sugar per liter allows RSRV Cuvée Lalou to fully reveal its aromatic complexity.
Its bottle, with a slender neck even more delicate than that of the other bottles in the collection, is another particularity: it slows the evolution of the wine, allowing for longer conservation. RSRV Cuvée Lalou ages for more than ten years before reaching the height of its aromatic and sensory expression.
