The aromatic freshness of Cramant Chardonnay

Following an exceptionally warm and dry start to the summer in 2015, the harvest began early, as the rain returned at the end of August. Healthy and picked at optimal maturity, the grapes had a potential alcohol level of 10.3 degrees and a balanced acidity of 7 g/l. 2015 produced an elegant, mineral wine with a subtle effervescence.

Clear and luminous, with intense green and pale yellow highlights.
On the nose
A balance between the liveliness of citrus fruits, in particular lime, lemon and grapefruit zest, and the sweetness of white peach. With hints of exotic spices, bergamot and springtime botanicals.
ON THE PALATE
After a crisp attack, this wine is full and creamy on the palate. Freshness with a tangy finish.

The 2015 harvest has produced a wine of great vivacity and freshness, remarkable for its purity and the finesse of its bubbles.


For this quality cuvée, the pressure in the bottle has been lowered to 4.5 bars instead of the traditional 6.
The result is a very special, delicate effervescence.
The dosage is deliberately low – 6 grams of sugar per litre – to allow the finesse of its aromas to reveal themselves fully.
 It is produced on a limited scale, only when the harvest is deemed to be exceptional. The slender neck of the bottle allows the wine to develop more slowly and keep longer.
